Here is how we connect a standard eaves wall to a rake wall. The soffit 2x4 framing is nailed 6” oc to the standard wall and extends to the outside of the rake wall. A @strongtie 5” SDWS screw through that 2x4 into the corner framing pulls it nice and tight. Then the sheathing is nailed with 2 rows 6” oc before taping the corner. . .
