Numerous parking lots are available. Pay parking (Consult the rates on the MSM public establishment website).

La légende raconte que l’histoire du Mont-Saint-Michel débute en 708, après que l’archange Michel est apparu à l’évêque Aubert par trois fois en rêve. Saint Michel lui aurait demandé l’édification d’un sanctuaire en son honneur sur une île appelée le Mont-Tombe.

The abbey church - Abbaye du|Mont-Saint-Michel
The abbey church of Mont-Saint-Michel is built at the top of the rock, it culminates at 80m height and is composed of a platform of 80m length. This feat was made possible by the ingenuity of the builders of the Middle Ages, who built upstream all around the rock four crypts that support the summit building.
