2015年5月9日 · The right way would be remove the siding, install the vent then reinstall the siding cutting it to fit around the vent. The siding can be removed by cutting the nails with off with a long bimetal sawsall blade slipped under the sidiing.

2013年12月22日 · I am fixing to install James Hardie siding on my home. I was curious how some of you have installed the rake trim (trim between soffit and siding). I see some where it has been capped over the siding and some where it is cut close and butts to the trim. If anyone has pictures that would be great also. Thanks in advance!!
2006年3月24日 · On my house I used Hardie Shingle for the body, Trex for the window and door trim, Hardie Fascia for the fascia, and ½" good-one-side MDO with standard aluminum strip vents for the soffit. They all worked well together, took paint well, and held up.

2014年6月19日 · To vent an attic I need to install some gable end vents into exterior walls already sided with Hardi Plank (or some other similar brand of plank that simulates beveled horizontal siding). The siding looks well installed, blind nailed.
