I have recently subscribed to Tovala. What meals I have behave been excellent quality and taste. These last 2 weeks they keep saying my card has been declined. I have two cards on file, one debit, one credit. Both are in perfect working order with plenty of money. I have called twice. No one calls back. Very disappointed.

May 8, 2023 · The main problem I have with Tovala is that it's hard to find low carb choices without repeating meals. There are only usually 3 or 4 "carb conscious" choices a week. They seem to err on the side of comfort food, I guess to take advantage of the oven for things like flatbreads, biscuits and cornbread.

Mar 26, 2022 · One thing to know for anyone purchasing Tovala is they charge you right away for the oven. I got charged $51.44 (includes tax) for my oven. Then meals are in addition to that on a weekly basis. I love that I can choose to order for the week or skip it. As well as pick my meals several weeks (almost a month in advance).

Poor and just a waste of time and MONEY. They use FedEx and you cannot get an accurate time of delivery of your meals. This is my fourth ordering of six meals from Tovala. Everything was going so-so until I opened my delivery box, and while storing my meals in the fridge, I notice one of the chicken packages that was showing a dark big spot.

The Tovala meals have all been great. I do a lot of "real" cooking, but my husband bowls several nights a week, and cooking for one is tough, so on those nights, their meals are perfect and easy. Reply reply

Mar 31, 2023 · Tovala was my first meal plan and I've gone back to them a few times, especially since they stopped using Fed Ex. If you haven't tried the flatbreads, they are outstanding. The meals also got me hooked on roasted vegetables. My main problem with Tovala is that it's tough to get a keto/ low carb meal plan unless you get multiples of the same meal.

Dec 13, 2022 · I got Tovala for $49 through a special and had to get 6 weeks of meals. They were all really good, some even great. I've had at least 30 different meals from them and the meat has never been "precooked". I tried Hello Fresh in the past and slowly learned that I just don't like to cook. Tovala is idiot-proof. Prep time is like 2-3 minutes and boom.

I was overall satisfied with the taste of the Tovala meals but it was the cost that made me cancel. I cycled through various other services and was not impressed. I am currently using CleanEatz, decent but not great but at least I don't have to pay for shipping since I pick them up at the restaurant so it is somewhat cheaper.

Sep 7, 2020 · Some meals were really yummy and some sucked, but the price per meal is 1000% not worth it. I love my Tovala not because of meal kits but because of the functionality. You can set a sequence of cooking actions (toast, steam, bake, broil) through the app and then do whatever you want until you get a notification your food is done.

Apr 23, 2023 · The main things with this one are it has a much larger footprint and cleanup compared to Tovala. The meals they package tend to "want" to be a 2 person meal wheres Factor and Tovala are 1 person meals by default. Suvie also prefers to be freezer to cook and so I've got a bunch of meals in the chest freezer in the basement.
