2015年7月9日 · Hi Geraldine and everyone just thought I’d update you all on my progress. Going into my third week post CMC Arthroplasty suspension using apl tendon. Right thumb. I’m in a removable cast for the next three weeks. Did drive alittle yesterday, very carefully I might add, and did have a fair amount of pain last night.

2017年1月12日 · Fast forward to today, 2017, and I had painful arthritis in my right thumb CMC joint. When I discussed surgery options with the orthopedist, he recommended doing a different intervention w the joint: using an suture anchor w fiberwire instead of my tendon as done on the left thumb. I am 2 weeks post surgery and the difference is amazing.

2017年2月9日 · He gave me Celebrex to try but I haven't tried it yet. I've taken Meloxicam and prescription Ibuprofen which helps some but not enough. I don't want to take strong pain meds. I was asking wknight if he had ever had the thumb basal joint surgery. He mentioned he has had quite a few surgeries and I was curious about his joint replacements.

Cheetah, i had surgery three weeks ago and i am fighting this cast for all its worth. I don’t know yet if its been successful but when asked i tell them i will never had the right hand done. Not because of the pain, but the inconvenience. I have been using my hand more than i should so only time will tell if its successful.

2016年10月25日 · I have had finger joint replacement surgery and the pain afterwards is not good if they don't get your pain relief correct. Second time I told the anaesthetist and no pain this time. My view is a few days of pain is worth it as I have been pain free in one of my fingers now for over 4 yrs, that is priceless!! Remember the saying no pain,no gain
