Nov 3, 2022 · Hooking an external headphone amplifier to the G6's line-output, might not fix the harshness issue. Unless it's the G6's headphone amplifier is causing the harsh issue, external amp would not fix issue. Go thru all the sound functions on the G6, one or more unnecessary functions might be enabled, causing the issue.

Mar 11, 2019 · Both 32 Ohms impedence. Is the G6 a good fit my my headphones, should I run it at high gain or would I be better off getting a AE5/AE7? I need a second sound card for different things and my plan was to get something nice(r) than the onboard Audio (ALC1220 with Xamp) for my Headphones and use the onboard audio for my tactile setup instead.

Mar 11, 2019 · Comparing to a pair of inexpensive headphones plugged directly into the ps5 controller, the inexpensive headphones sounded much better than the focals for both games and movies/shows. This lead me down a rabbit hole and I found the sound blaster g6 as it was listed as a compatible dac with the ps5.

Nov 5, 2020 · I now have my Sound BlasterX G6 mic input working with my headset. I followed the steps here: Soundblaster G6 Microphone input doesn't work. Note that I did try this previously, but it was not working for me. Now it is working successfully. After you execute the setmic script, note that the input device must be "Line In- Sound BlasterX G6".

Mar 11, 2019 · In other words, I'm really interested in the differences in sound (not features) of mobo, E30, and G6 DACs. And for good measure, the benefits of using a separate amp with the G6. I will be keeping the G6 regardless because of the console compatibility, so my main concern is the benefits (or not) of using something else like an E30 with my PC.

Mar 11, 2019 · The dx3 pro brought back the airy soundstage but honesly I’m hard pressed to find any difference in sound quality between dx3 pro and my 7-year-old dolby usb sound card. Would have gone for the gsx 1000 instead of the g6 if the gsx worked with consoles and because people claim the gsx has better 7.1, wider soundstage and airy sound vs the g6.
