Really looking forward to getting my a7siii soon, one of the main reasons I picked it up was obviously for the awesome video features - particularly 4K @ 120FPS and HD @ 240FPS. From what I've been able to find, most video modes record gyro data for stabilization in post with catalyst browse or gyroflow but some like 4K @ 120 FPS do not.

2021年9月20日 · For SD cards, use Prograde Digital or Sony Tough, V60 or V90. Alternatively, Sony or Prograde Digital's CFExpress Type-A cards. Note that CFExpress Type-A cards are only required for a handful of modes. Card speed requirements are based on the codec, resolution, frame rate being captured, and frame rate being recorded.

Wish Sony would seriously add those to the A7SIII firmware already as there's zero excuse it's missing for something that costs another 1k more. It's Sony though...

2021年5月21日 · If you're curious why i switched from Panasonic to Sony, its because my GH5 didnt do well in two areas: autofocus and lowlight. Sony is aces in both those areas. To me...the A7siii is the closest thing to a perfect camera out there right now (even if its still images are lower resolution than most other still shooters).

2022年6月5日 · Sony A74 and FX3 owner here (the FX3 is basically the a7siii with XLR audio). Both are fantastic cameras. I use both on a near-daily basis and here are the differences that stand out to me: -The dual native iso in the a74 sits at 3200, which isn’t nearly as high as the a7siii’s 12800. You will get better low light performance from the latter.

2020年12月22日 · If you’re doing video work: a7siii no debate. If you’re doing hybrid stills and video: a7siii- it’s an outstanding photography camera with incredible AF, dynamic range and top-of-the-line pro features in every single area except one: resolution, but 12MP in my experience is more than enough unless you’re doing some pretty extreme cropping.

2020年12月26日 · I had the same problem and I found a reliable fix. After downloading a free version as well as a paid version of HEVC codec for Windows didn't work, I installed DivX Pro media player. Had to shell out $20 but it is able to play the 10 bit files from the A7siii although still no thumbnails in Windows explorer. Hope this helps.

I've been analysing the specs of the ProRes Raw from the Sony a7Siii and it seems pretty good. The only problem remains on having Premiere Pro and a PC for editing.
