You can still retrieve as long as you didn't copy anything yet after that by using the "Copy" function or the CTRL+C keystroke. When I took a screen shot in previous installations of Windows, there would be an audible alert and a notification in the notification area of Taskbar. When I clicked the notification, it took me to the screen shot in File Explorer.

Tip 4/ using Win + Shift + s normally launches a quick action toolbar in the notification area which adds a step (I found it annoying as I was taking many screenshots, so I turned it off)
