2022年3月1日 · Per the Hardwood Market Report, for 2" red oak, rough green, tractor trailer load minimum, F.O.B. Sawmill, select grade $1.29/bf. #1 grade $1.00. For 2" white oak, $4.29 for select and $1.65 for #1. This is tractor trailer load wholesale from the commercial mills. The white oak is insane for the select grade.

2011年8月15日 · My prices for rough sawn, air dried red oak are $1.50 for #2, $2.00 for #1, and $2.50 for select grade. However, I am conservative on the grade as I want people to be happy with the wood. My market is woodworkers and furniture builders who buy 10 to 100 BF at a time.

I'd like to use 2 1/2" or 3" rough cut lumber for the deck boards, but I have no idea what wood would be best or thickness. A local sawmill suggested Beech, saying that is a hard wood that will last.

2018年7月6日 · We used all mill run lumber. We also sold construction lumber that was used from road construction to farm buildings to post and beam houses to log cabins. No inspection was needed. I don't know how much material you're thinking of producing. I have my doubts you can compete with softwood lumber that is sold at the local lumber yard.
