2011年2月7日 · My guess is that the Ridgid band saw is a generic item that comes from the same factory that a lot of other-brand versions that some people rave about originate. Some people beef about a product, simply because they are not adept enough to get it to work properly. Some of the other complaints (not yours) seem to be like that. Howard Ferstler

Ridgids price is 200 or better. Now some folks say that the Jet model #708717 (Catalog #961137, Woodcraft) will fit. Does anyone know anything about this?

2023年11月15日 · The Ridgid is a typical 14 inch cast iron frame bandsaw. It is a "clone" of the original Delta bandsaws that date back to the 1940s. The original Delta bandsaws and older US-made bandsaws took 93-1/2 inch blades. Many of the new Taiwanese-made cast iron bandsaws actually take 92-1/2 inch blades (2350 millimeters??).

2015年4月8日 · Agree with Ryan that the C'man is the better saw, but for completeness, it appears that the new Ridgid is designed around the same cast iron frame as all the Delta clones. As such, a riser block could probably be added to increase the resaw capacity.
