2009年4月28日 · I have recently changed my 20-gallon tall tank (24" x 12" x 16") to a planted aquarium, with aponotegons, lilies, anachris, and hornwort. I now have a 15-watt 18" bulb in a light fixture that only allows a maximum of a 19-watt light. I am looking into getting more lighting for my tank, to fit the rule-of-thumb of at least 2 watts/gallon.

2014年1月1日 · In a proper planted aquarium you should always use fluorescent lighting. I have tried the LEDs myself and they don't work nearly as good as fluorescents do. You should have luck with your planted 10 gallon if you have the right fluorescent bulb and I would not change them over to you 55.

2013年2月14日 · I've used the Odyssea 24" dual T5HO light fixture on a 20H planted tank and it worked well. They are NOT as bright as high end fixtures but for planted tanks that's not usually an issue. Some people actually get that light because it isn't as intense as other T5 lights. That helps to avoid over-lighting a planted tank (and big algae issues).
