2012年7月9日 · I am starting a new 40 breeder build and took advantage of the Petco sale on these tanks. I run a mixed reef with lps and sps. Internal flow will be one MP10 on one end and one Ice Cap 3k gyre on the other end. Flow to sump and return to tank will be about 400 gallons per hour or 10x tank volume. Main pump will be a DC variable speed pump.
What's the best overflow for a 40g drilled breeder tank?
2013年5月12日 · I'm planning a 40g breeder build and want to pick out an overflow. I'm looking at the 700gph kit from glass-holes.com. Are there better options out there? There are other options, but I've always been happy with Glass-Holes. They make a quality product....and it includes the drill bit and a little surprise in the box.

2006年9月15日 · For 600gph, an overflow needs nine linear inches. This is according to the RC calculator. It seems to me like 600gph going through a 25g sump is a little excessive. I would say 200-300gph is more appropriate...someone correct me if I'm really off. You can drill the hole for the tank's overflow anywhere as far as height.
