I plan on forming some camber in the wing, on the order of a 7% Simplex airfoil, aided by a few foam ribs. Small diameter carbon rods will stiffen the wing. Now for the trick stuff.

Wing halves are glued together with GG as well: a strip of packing tape on wing joint bottom, wet the edges (tooth brush), pour in the glue, packing tape and weight if needed on top wing joint and let cure.

2004年1月4日 · To cut dihedral this way will require a very thick foam block, depending on the dihedral. My wings are fairly thin, the root is 7/8 thick and the tip is 1/4, the panel is 26". With just a 3/4 tip dihedral I can just squeeze the core out of a 2" thick block.

This helped reinforce the wing joint and help keep the dihedral, but also help prevent the wing from folding under aerobatic maneuvering.
