Then I decided to use the bedding they came in - simple sphagnum moss. I added more sphagnum to a larger box, made it fairly moist, and kept them in there.

To answer the original question, I keep mine alive for months by simply keeping them in the fridge in a plastic container with small holes poked in the lid.

2022年2月27日 · The worms you can get digging in the soil (canadian nightcrawlers I suppose) are always palatable for axolotls. Unfortunately, they are difficult to keep alive when you have a stock. I sometimes keep some in my fridge with a bit of earth (my family is rather tolerant) but the method described by SamAxolotl is good.

2018年4月12日 · I keep nightcrawlers in the fridge for months. But you CANNOT freeze earthworms. They will absolutely die, and when they thaw, you will have the stinkiest mess you can imagine. There are few things I have smelled in my life that smell as bad as rotten worms, and I am a nurse.
