When Katakuri was first introduced we saw that his bounty was a lot higher than luffy's, sitting at 1,057,000,000 His bounty had an extra 57 million which didn't seem like it had any reason to be there, but it got me thinking why 57? Then i remembered that the number that represents luffy is 56 (said go mu in Japanese) here's just one example

2021年4月7日 · No it's not too low. Katakuri gives off the vibe he chills in WCI a lot and hasn't fought a decent opponent in a long long time. Kaido's subordinates love destruction. Look at Jack - he's weaker than Katakuri but he's a fighter who keeps coming back. Jack has had more on panel fights by far than Katakuri. Bounty isn't purely about power.

2021年8月7日 · Katakuri's Bounty is 1 billion 57 million and Luffy is always connected with the number 56 (Gomu) 57 > 56, Indicating that Katakuri is better than Luffy in everyway (I mean that's how the majority of the fight was) It's such a subtle detail, really hats off Oda.

2022年10月18日 · That being said, Katakuri doesnt really do much outside of Big Mom territory, nor does he cause destruction like Kaido calamities, hes not activily looking for a fight so, over a 1B for someone whos mostly resting on a island is pretty impressive. 2020年7月8日 · Bounty isn't decided by a person's strength alone, the person's ability or affinity for causing trouble to the WG is also a factor, someone like big mom or kaido though are very strong but also hold a lot of power around them in form of connections, armies etc not to mention they are the closest to one piece so obviously they are threats.

2019年11月20日 · As mentioned above, bounty can be deceiving. There are countless examples of this across the series. I think the calamities having a higher bounty than the sweet commanders is more indicative of their ruthless and destructive nature than it is that they are stronger than the sweet commanders. I imagine Katakuri is closer to King than he is to Jack.

2020年4月10日 · P.S Katakuri is only slightly ahead of Jack in terms of bounty. (1.067 billion vs 1 billion.). Not that Bounty has any bearing on fighting strength of course. (E.g Warlord Buggy, Chopper or even Kid Nico Robin). End. I like Katakuri. Mochi boi is probably my favourite character introduced in the new world.
