2016年12月27日 · I don't know what's underneath the actual window trim - old wood removed and new trim added but the house wrap and foam that was around house before the siding went on. the other 2 windows are pvc trimmed the same way, but vinyl siding are cut to the edge of the windows trim. seems like 2 different style and probably done by 2 different people.

2010年5月28日 · Sliding the trim into j channel isn't an option since the j channel is only 1/2" wide which would leave the lap on the hardi sticking out further than the trim. When I tried to butt the 5/4 trim against the window the window was sticking out about 1/16 " further than than trim. It was enough to cover up the J channel allowing for adequate caulking.

2022年12月28日 · My client wants Hardie trim and Siding. I can use 3/4" hardi trim and it WILL slide into that j channel but then i worry it looks silly being so far back from the face of the window... If i use 1" (or 5/4" hardie), it will leave a big hole/empty space in that J channel and still not be flush with the face of the window anyway.
