How much weight can the lack 110-190cm wall shelf hold?

Wanted to put my gloomhaven box on it that weighs 10kg by itself but I could tell it would be a bad idea. ikea has another long shelf with a similar aesthetic thats bracket supported with 4 screws on each, ive been using that instead for heavier things - I recall that version had 25kgs max.

Generally the bigger you go the stronger it is. Only let the screw protrude from the wall by the minimum amount required, if it's too far out the shelf will sag and put extra stress on your anchor.

2021年9月28日 · If not hollow they are certainly not solid wood, so you will need something to cover the cut end with. That said, I've never cut down a Lack shelf but did cut down (width wise) a Billy bookcase. Because of the laminate covering the particle board or whatever it is, I recommend using a very fine tooth circular saw.
