I get numbers like 193 after meals @ 645 so I inject 2 units of humalog and hour later i check my sugars again and this time its 239. I then inject 6 units (twice the amount on the sliding scale) and have a soda near by, just in case.

2016年2月15日 · I use Humalog KwikPens and the only time I have had issues with it stopping before full dose is dispensed is when it needs a needle change. Same issue with Tresiba pens. I typically use the needle for several days until it doesn't easily pierce the skin without discomfort. Also when starting a new Humalog pen I twist it initially to 6u to prime.

2012年1月4日 · My experience is that the humalog pen is inconsistent with single unit doses. I am perhaps "fortunate" that I am insulin resistant and usually take 5-10 units with a meal. I prime with 2 unit and will "repeat" with another unit if I don't get a good prime. Here is a test, get a clean glass plate, prime the pen and then dial in single dose.
