2009年5月23日 · Wiring a winch with 2 solenoids???? Can a winch (atv winch) be wired up with only solenoids and one toggle switch? I have seen a few setups where they only ran two solenoids. But I could not tell if they had the high amps running through only the solenoids or if the toggle switch and solenoids was both carrying high amp.

2005年2月9日 · In my first thread I resolved to get a real Warn solenoid, but I think the problem lies elsewhere, since I get the clicking using a new, out-of-the-box Ford solenoid, and also using the old solenoid I used when it was mounted on the 40. Sounds just like a starter motor when it goes bad, when all you hear is the clicking from the solenoid.

2020年2月13日 · It does make it harder to wire in in cab winch control, but if you stare at the circuit diagram enough it's still pretty straight forward. And you can wire a winch that originally came with a 3 wire control with a 5 wire control box. There are still just 3 wires that go to the winch motor, and 1 ground wire that goes from the motor to ground.

2011年4月12日 · A lot of trucks have a good 2/0 ground wire running to the block for the starter but only a 4 gauge wire running to the frame. There is a huge resistance going through the engine mounts and a 4 or six gauge will not handle the current you want to pass.

2013年11月4日 · I have run a winch without a fuse, wired directly to the battery for over 10 years - I have been lucky to have not had any problems. I have a 500a fuse here that is planned for my M12000 winch circuit before this wheeling season starts for me. I have my solenoid box under the hood to keep it out of sight to dissuade those pesky punk kids.
