The magazines were container dropped to the resistance in denmark, late 1944. If you're looking for the Mil-Spec version. Vintage cosmoline paper is hard to come by now days.

2021年12月25日 · I recently saw two WWll vintage M1911 mags for sale that are still wrapped in the green waxed paper. What's the chance that after seventy - some years those are still in as-new condition? I would think there would be rust or finish loss on the inside where the two are pressed together.

The box was taped shut with the tape starting above the box logo, went under the box, and came up just under the logo. In the photo you can just see traces of where the paper was.

2008年8月11日 · I've done some research on how to identify P-38's. I found a website that indicates surplus P-38's from the '50's era has a "US" stamped on it and on the paper package with the date. Note how the one belonging to Salvage Sailor has the "US" on it and 1951. Maybe plain ones are from an earlier period? (WWII). Still not positive though.

Plastic baggies by the roll were introduced in 1957, and Handi Wrap, made by Dow, came along in 1960. I don't remember plastic wrap or baggies from my school lunches. I remember wax paper.
