I didn't want to drive so I purchased a shuttle pass which was $129 the whole weekend and a GA for the race. I also took a megabus from Austin to Dallas for $20 on Monday and then an uber to to DFW airport.

Pit tours, the drive around the track on a flatbed and other amenities are for those that purchase F1 Experiences, Paddock Club, or COTA hospitality packages. I have done this on two occasions and it is amazing.

My wife and I packed a cooler of cold drinks and food and we saved over $300 from concessions over the weekend. Took a nap between sessions. Then able to walk back in faster.

2022年3月14日 · Definitely get seats instead of doing GA. I went to the 2021 GP at COTA and it was absolutely packed. I had GA tickets and it was difficult to find a small patch of grass to watch the race, we had to get there 4-5 hours ahead just to get a spot. Saturday practice was pretty similar, so many people we couldn’t even find a place to sit and watch.

COTA is a pain to get to, but no wait. Took maybe 10 minutes and felt kinda cheap but the price was right. TOL had a TON of traffic and took longer to wait than to go through. I'd rather have walked it in the cold. I do think it was overpriced but better than COTA.

COTA vet here. Here are my tips that work every time. Park far away. Yeah the walk in sucks but leaving is easier. By far I mean as far north from the entrance, I forget the lot letters. Always leave by going out north to 71 then back to austin 71/183. I live in Bastrop so it’s a wash, but when I did live off MLK it was the same.

2015年10月28日 · COTA forced us to exchange our $200 Lot N parking pass for shuttle tickets. The line for the shuttle was 3.5 hours and complete chaos. I've been to every F1 race in Austin and after that crap on Sunday, I'm never going back.
