Has anyone had experience with contour next meter?
Jun 18, 2018 · To follow up my previous post, today my FBS was 120 using the CVS Advanced meter, and 98 using the Contour Next One, from the same drop of blood. The largest difference between the meters I had ever gotten before was 10 points, with the CVS higher.
Contour Next vs Contour Next One - Anyone know which is better?
Nov 27, 2018 · I just came to find out that my insurance will allow contour meters and one touch which I am currently using. One touch was 24 pts less than lab and was reading a few threads on how contour is rated 100% and is almost accurate. I am planning to get the prescription for contour and wondering which one is better.. contour next or contour next one.

Oct 11, 2020 · The Contour Next rep says that the CN might be discontinued in the next few years, and that the CN One is even more accurate. But the study tested the CN, not the CN One, so there is my hesitation. The FDA study didn't include CN or CN One, but the Freestyle Freedom Lite tested high (there were others which I will skip).

Mar 28, 2024 · I have a Contour Next EZ and a Contour Next One. On their website, they list Contour Next Gen, Contour Next One, Contour Next, and Contour Next EZ. The Contour Next strips are used with all of the "Next" meters. My 2 meters give the same results.

I have a Freestyle Freedom Light that cam from the pharmacy and a Contour Next One (2 of them actually) I got from Amazon as my script ran out for the Freestyle and the strips are expensive. The Contours were reading 25-4 points higher than readings I was getting from the Freedom.

May 13, 2021 · I have the Contour Next One meter and I just tested my sugar three times in a row, letting the meter turn off between tests. I got 190, 165 and 175. At 190 I would be inclined to inject some fast acting Novolog. But at 165, probably not. It seems to me to be most inaccurate under 200. Above it appears to be off by 5 points.
