2010年1月17日 · The bathroom has a one piece vinyl floor that we are replacing this year with cork for esthetic purposes only. No problems with the vinyl flooring whatsoever. The place used to have linoleum in the bedrooms which was removed to show the original wood floors. There was no problems with the linoleum in the heat and cold either, it was just ugly.

2022年12月23日 · This is what the previous flooring looked like. Look at that lip on each step. They were only able to remove that "wood" on one step because it was mega glued/welded to the floor, and they took nearly an hour on 1 step. So they decided to lay the new vinyl on top.

2024年12月18日 · If you plan on doing a transition-free flooring, layout out that first row is crucial, but will become very difficult once you start going through doorways and stuff with click-type flooring. If you like the flexibility to go in either which direction, then maybe reconsider the type of flooring you plan on using.

They're 5 mm, 5 mm, and 8mm gauge thickness They all have lifetime residential /10yr commercial warranties Does anyone know about these brands? Would you recommend these over particle board subfloor?
Installing vinyl plank over existing, uneven floor?
2009年1月24日 · We are going to install the Allure vinyl plank floor throughout our house. There was carpeting in some rooms, linoleum in the kitchen and vinyl tiles in the DR. Do we need to tear up the linoleum and vinyl tiles before installation? There would be a slight grade difference (not much) and I didn't know if you would really feel it under the flooring.
First time installing vinyl plank, wall not straight!

After getting the spacers down and up against the drywall for the suggested 1/4 expansion gap and attempting to lay the first row we are finding that the walls aren’t straight. This causes the floor to touch the spacers in some areas and not in others.
Subfloor gaps and defect filling before vinyl plank flooring?
2021年11月13日 · The flooring I believe is ok with 1/4" or smaller gaps in subfloor but I've some Henry 345 premixed patch n'level I can use to fill in the few areas similar to these photos. Is there an issue with gap filling material preventing the subfloor sheets from expanding/contracting with seasonal humidity changes and causing humps or similar?

2022年2月13日 · Since vinyl planks won't have a connection point if you modify the ends or edges, I would run the planks all in the same direction, just cutting the ends at the appropriate angle. It will all straighten out with the second dog leg. It may not be the ideal way, but it would eliminate the need for two thresholds where you turn the planks.

2010年11月22日 · History: I’ve nearly finished a bathroom installation of “Trafficmaster Allure” floating vinyl plank. I left the recommended 1/8 inch gap around the entire perimeter and around the closet flange for the toilet. I called and asked the manufacturer if I could caulk around the perimeter in bathrooms before installing the trim.
Vinyl Plank Flooring: To level or not to level?
2020年9月29日 · Lay a level or straight edge across the area that has the dip and let us know the distance across the dip. If it is a relatively short distance the dip may transfer through vinyl. If it is a long gradual dip it may not be noticed. Either way the vinyl most likely will not "float" over it. Floor leveler will work if applied properly, if needed.
