If you are looking for a good step up from Jack and Jim, without spending crazy money, I'd look at Eagle, Maker's Mark, Knob Creek, and my favorite mid-range and house "well" bourbon Wild Turkey (101 of course). For my money Wild Turkey is a great sipping whiskey for $17 at Trader Joe's.

Sep 30, 2010 · I also like Maker's Mark, Woodford Reserve, Knob Creek, Jim Beam Black, Jim Beam Distiller's Series (another best buy), and George Dickel (whiskey). For mixing, Ten High, Evan Williams 1783, and Wild Turkey 101 are good choices. I have also taken a liking to Forty Creek Canadian Whiskey. Very nice on the rocks. Clay

Nov 5, 2015 · Bulleitt is a good sipping whiskey! I like Sam Houston because it has a lot of caramel or malt and it's not heavy handed with the rye or grain alcohol. Brooks, Bakers, knob creek, Rebecca Creek are also good choices. Sometimes the best way is to find a good pub and order several shots straight up and compare them side by side.

Dec 15, 2022 · It doesn’t matter what we think. Although I’m sure we all appreciate you asking our opinions. Get yourself a blade sampler and just try some. Focus on your technique. If the blade feels like it’s pulling your skin out bin it and try a new one. Blade choice is highly subjective and no one can say “ABC Blade will be the best for you”.

Aug 30, 2018 · From a long term usage perspective, higher quality item perspective, and ultimately works better (closer to the geometry of a traditional straight) then the Feather AC or any of its competitors is best IMO. The blades are 2-10 times more expensive that a bargain DE blade but in the long term still a reasonable cost.
