With tighter CAFE numbers BMW will be hard pressed to meet unless they have happier diesel owners. Nothing I've read has indicated that the absence of scar test requirements has anything todo with our problems.

Many people have had to do the same because there are no BMW replaceable parts (the level sensor and temperature sensor) and the whole tank has to be replaced by BMW rather than the sensors (which cost only a couple hundred or less.)

2017年4月29日 · Also, BMW evidently re-designed the DEF tanks and system for the F30 328d (320d in Europe) to be more reliable and trouble-free. Be aware that newer vehicles have the N57 rather than M57, and the 328d (and X3) come with the N47 engine. Both are substantially different than the earlier M57, but first reports seem promising.

2011年3月19日 · On the E28 board alone there is an S54 going into an E28, an M57 (V8 diesel) and various other modern motor swaps going on. There was also an article in the Roundel a couple years back of an S85 going into an E24. My brother is talking about putting an N52 or N54 into one of our E28s.
