The Wal-Mart batteries are the cheap line of Interstate batteries, and although the Interstate batteries are the best of the best, the Walmart version is about as good as an Autozone version (not very).

Went to Advance Auto, they carry worldwide remans, decided against it, then the fella behind the counter suggested a indy parts store, they got me a Bosch (that's what they told me, can't tell by looking) reman. Had to swap out double pulley, wrong diameter.

On the cars with regular batteries under the hood, if if fits (including the terminals on the right ends) and has enough CCA and reserve amps go for it. However on the newer cars with the battery inside the passenger compartment I would only use a Genuine MB battery.

2009年3月2日 · So, while Autozone will sell you a Duralast battery to replace your Systems battery, it is likely going to be a conventional lead-acid battery and not an AGM. It will work just fine, but it is inferior to the battery sold by the Mercedes dealer. Some of the "Optima"-branded batteries may be AGM.

More surface area ( more plates, bigger battery size ) gives greater amp hours and is used in deep cycle batteries. Thinner plates gives higher cranking amps ( but at the cost of longevity and depth of discharge) and is used in cranking batteries.

2021年4月4日 · AGM batteries have worked fine in my car. I ran a made in USA Optima AGM battery in my '82 300D-Turbo - it lasted over 9 years. This was with the original alternator and original voltage regulator. I replaced it with a Group 49 AutoZone Duralast Platinum AGM battery about 6 years ago. This battery has been great as well.

2011年4月18日 · Sorry this thread took a turn. I was at Advance Auto and all the used batteries are $35, except they wanted $60 for the small used Optima yellow top (didn't even know they sold used ones). Still a good price, but $35 would have been a steal. Thanks for the info!!!!! _____

2018年1月3日 · Have a drawdown test done at autozone or wherever. A fully charged and new battery should have a "float" voltage of 13.0-13.4 without a load on it. Charging voltage should run up to around 14.5 or so depending upon the regulator . It varies with different cars and different battery types like AGM , gel and sealed batteries.

2016年9月13日 · Today I had the same alarm on my dashboard and I checked at Autozone again and got the same P2031. After leaving the store the alarm went off and as another auto part store was on my way I decided to stop and ask them to check again with their scanner. Even wit the engine light off now the scanner show the the same code P2031.
