2021年4月30日 · If anything this Fine Art Auction sells was worth anything it wouldn't be selling on TV., but in a reputable Auction house like Christie's , Swann's etc. I've purchased many pieces from this AVC Fine Art Auction only to be given a smack in the face at a local reputable auction house in Downtown Detroit.

I saw a picasso print which had an estimated gallery price of $3,900 USD go for $275 USD. I saw a 1960s small Dali painting go for $600 which was $100 more than the cost of the frame.

Horseshit. This does not occur, period. Which isn't to say that auction houses don't game things, but "chandelier bidding" is basically an urban legend.

You'll need to dig for art as you'll find anything and everything. If you search on particular styles and see a cluster from an auction house, they start digging in as they may specialize in art. Can someone please explain the art auctions on board ship?
2023年8月18日 · We went to the art auction to get the free champagne. We left that cruise with a brand new $1500 Park West Galleries credit card debt. We didn’t spend anywhere near that much on the art, but when you go to settle up later they hit you with the hard sell on the frames. We spent 3 times as much on frames as we did on the art itself.
