2005年11月3日 · Towing a gooseneck or 5th wheel with a dolly is considered to be pulling doubles in most states. So like here in CA, you would need a class A drivers lic. to do that. And towing one on a really tall reciever mount is crazy. Notice how a gooseneck and 5th wheel trailer has the axles way to the rear.

2006年2月2日 · I think you guys are missing the self steering axle portion of the C dolly. If you are cranking hard enough on the steering wheel in a tractor to put a large side load on a C dolly wheels (IE turning sharper than the angle limits on the dollys steering axle) you have a way bigger problem happening at that point than side load on the dolly wheels.

About 9mo ago I sold the TT in favor of a 30ft 5th wheel. My 5th wheel has two slides and weighs around 9000lbs with all our crap in it before H2O. It pulls like a dream.

2012年3月4日 · In CA you can legally pull doubles and the entire combination can be up to 75ft long as long as each trailer doesn't exceed 28.5ft in length, and the first trailer does not need to be a 5th wheel, provided the combo is being pulled by a tractor-truck. This is straight from the Sac DMV/CHP/DOT guys.
