Eldon made a few 'decent' 1/24 scale cars, decent when compared to their 1/32 scale cars. With vintage track, the very worst is the 1/32 Marx and Gilbert stuff; the classic Scalextric only slightly better, same for Eldon.

BRM Nascar wheels are 12.5mm visible and 14.5mm to the top of the ridge ( marketed as 14.5 x 8.9 wide) Slot car F1 wheels are 14.4/14.5 to the top of the ridge. European wheels like NSR/ Sloting Plus are sold in mm so a 16mm wheel is 16mm OD to the top of the ridge.

2008年10月11日 · My Revell 1:32 and Scalextric 1:32 run perfectly. The Carrera Go cars run faster but are still very controllable. The SCX Compact cars however are out of control. As soon as you touch the controller they fly off the track. I'm sure this modification will affect the longevity of the 1:43 cars but I don't care. I'm so happy that I can now run 1:32's.

2006年6月24日 · After posting this thread I continued to do some internet searches on 1/32 scale tracks, cars and accessories. 1/32 scale seems to offer more detailed cars and accessories, but it would consume more space than I had imagined. I think I am going to go with the 1/32 scale 4 lane track, but I am going to make it a multi level track.

A scale mile in 1/32 would require a 165 foot layout. Not likely to happen in most home layouts. A scale quarter mile in 1/32 would be just over 41' in lap length. A bit more doable at home, but a quarter mile road coarse is hardly scale or realistic. In 1/43 scale, you could squeeze out a still not so realistic, but better, scale half mile ...

Once I started getting the Racer Sideways Slot.It cars, I sold all of my Carrera cars, except for 4 that are used for the kids as beaters. Carrera cars are heavy, and very durable, and most have lights (which is cool), but even if you get them running well, they just can't even compare to the better built cars like Slot.It, Scaley, etc.
