Glasgow 1770 – 2018 PX Sherry for Belgium review
1 天前 · Belgian importer Young Charly recently secured a single cask from Glasgow distillery.The peated spirit was distilled in 2018. It matured in virgin white oak for around 4 years. Then it entered PX sherry casks from the small bodega Ximénez-Spínola.. Not all Glasgow expressions have been to my liking so far, but the Ximénez-Spínola reference is definitely an asset here.

Royal Brackla / Ben Nevis / Aultmore (Reserve Casks No.12)
3 天之前 · Nose: a little lactic at first, with hints of sweet buttermilk and bread dough. Then fudge, some honey and browing pears. Yellow apple, shortbread and lemonade. Very young still. Mouth: robust spirit, with a thick texture but also a youngish profile (malty notes, Pilsner beer). Barley sugars, buttery notes and lemon gums.

Caol Ila 11 Years (Special Release 2024) | whisky review
2024年11月19日 · Unpeated Caol Ila is something we’ve only seen in the Special Releases series.The last unpeated expression I tried was the 2016 release.I remember finding whiffs of smoke in virtually all of these unpeated versions. This year it returns in an 11 year old version.

About WhiskyNotes, a whisky blog founded in 2008
WhiskyNotes is a personal collection of impressions, written while searching for the ultimate single malt whisky. A work in progress, and a continuous exercise for the senses. I started it in 2008 while living in Spain for a couple of years. I had discovered whisky a few years earlier but suddenly I was cut off from festivals, shops and whisky friends in my home country.
