Is the Battery Pro Cam good? : r/wyzecam - Reddit
My original Wyze Cam Outdoor is sitting inside waiting for re-deployment sometime…I figure I’ve got it, so I might as well use it! The Battery Cam Pro is soooo much better than the original outdoor cam, but for MY money, they’re both a great way to add a camera to a spot that doesn’t have electricity available.

I found the base station to be adequate. All the cameras are getting three bars of signal even when they are 30 feet away from it through exterior walls.

I feel like Wyze was a good entry point into home monitoring (can't say security because Wyze weren't officially billed to be that), but there have been a lot of pain points recently and Eufy has been growing their security and monitoring systems pretty quickly with overall good reviews.

2021年4月20日 · The outdoor cam is fairly easy to convert to solar use but the features offered are so few that its next to useless. To run a V3 off solar would require much more in the way of hardware and expense. A constant powered V3 is the way to go unless your location makes it impossible, not just inconvenient.
Wyze Cam Outdoor has incorrect timestamp, no "sync time" setting?
2020年11月3日 · My other three V2 cameras all have the correct timestamp after the recent time change on Sunday, but the Outdoor Cam is still one hour ahead. I've tried turning off the device and turning it back on (from the app) without any luck. I checked the camera plus the base station for "sync time" settings like V2 cameras, but did not see any.

2023年9月23日 · Again, that is more of a setting configuration, and if Wyze allows us to adjust some of that ourselves on the OG, that could give the OG an even bigger edge. FWIW, I have more V3's than I do OG's, and I have over 40 Wyze cameras, so I am not hating on the V3 or on the OG in any way. I am simply trying to unbiasedly describe the benefits of each.

2022年6月8日 · Wyze v2 camera has been perfect for 3 winters. I added an outdoor outlet with hinged cover. Also has an outdoor rated app controlled extension to a snow melting pad in front of my upstairs door/window. I can monitor it from the cam and turn in on for a timed duration during storms to keep the snow from piling up against the door and window.
