2020年2月12日 · I would say "Ruse" took a really unique angle for ww2 RTS game, or RTS games in general. The map scale is great but the "strategy" part is more about trying to outplace and smart your opponent and less "APM" , it's more grandscale. It relies on rock paper scissors to most of balancing. You can do so many strategies that feel real.

2023年6月12日 · I also enjoyed Steel Division 1 as it has a bunch of campaign missions starting on D-Day. It does a good job of teaching the basics of the deck system for other games from that Developer. I just wouldn't get this first one unless it's on a deep deep sale but It's still worth playing because if you like WW2 stuff because the campaign is unique.

Games about WW2 tend to play very differently from each other and not like "classic" RTS. Steel Division 2 is a huge strategy simulation, with roads and logistics in play and units engaging at semi-realistic ranges of hundreds of meters.

2023年8月8日 · I'd recommend company of heroes for a traditional RTS. If you want something "bigger", go for Steel Division 2 I recently got Gates of hell: Ostfront, but I haven't played enough yet to recommend it. Having great fun with it so far tho. EDIT: Forgot to mention Hearts of Iron 4, not really a RTS but I believe its the best WW2 game created.

Axis & Allies (2004) and War Times are the only ones I can name from the top of my head. There are also Red Alert and War Front: Turning Point, but both of those are alt-history.

2019年1月17日 · Any good WW2 RTS games? Looking to get back into RTS and bought Sudden Strike 4 based mostly on nostalgia from the original Sudden Strike but the campaign isn't all that engaging. I enjoy the large open battles with a screen filled with units but Sudden Strike seems kind of bland and doesn't appear like the mod community is very large.
