ex-UHAUL Tow Dolly - Pirate 4x4
Jan 17, 2004 · Ive got an ex-UHAUL(very beefy) tow dolly in good shape. Tire straps have been modified to fit my 37X12.5'' tires with room to spare but still able to hold smaller tires as well. It tows well, but Ive convinced my roomate to let me put a fullsize trailer on the side of the house.

Jan 3, 2007 · I rented a u-haul dolly for towing an '84 F250 dually ext cab that i bought. Even with the skinny ass front tire only each one was halfway on teh oustide of teh ramps. It barely fit between teh fenders. Your best bet would be to measure your truck outside tire distances and then body width. I think on uhauls site they have the max dimension.
Square body Burban on a uhaul? - Pirate 4x4
Oct 4, 2018 · I had a 86 k10 reg cab long bed on 35's on a u haul car trailer once before. The rear tires were about half way on the trailer and half off. Put extra straps on it and towed it a little over 100 miles like it no problem, didnt move an inch. That being said i wouldnt recommend it. Dolly would be the better way to go.
Goosneck/5th tow dolly... Legal? Functional? Availability?
Nov 3, 2005 · I used to see a guy on the highway with an F-550, he'd pull one 5th wheel camper regular style, them had a (I assume) custom dolly that had a long tongue that would mount to the axles of the first trailer. He's have another 5'er, or bumper-pull (dolly was set up for both) behind the first. I never got a pic, I wish I had, coolest thing i'd ever ...

Asking $550 obo for the dolly. Uses a 2" ball hitch. The maximum width for a towed vehicle to fit on this is 72". Located in Winston-Salem NC.

I have towed cars on trailers, boats, etc. a) You CANNOT backup with a tow dolly, period... it will immediately try to jackknife if you try for more than a foot or 3.

Mar 24, 2008 · I am looking at a 1973 F-600 U-HAUL 24ft box truck. **It has been converted to have a 4ft+overhang living area with shower, queen bed, hot-water heater, and has a 14kw gen set on it. The open rear box area is 16ft long. **Has an RV door on the curb-side. Two sky-lights that are roof mounted. Ladder leading up to the queen bunk.

May 4, 2008 · In my state (Calif.), tow brakes are required for any (trailer) over 1500lbs. A tow dolly or a trailer (normally) provides brakes. If the rear wheels are on the ground, take the 10 minutes to disconnect the 4 bolts at the rear differential flange and tie up the shaft, securely (or remove it completely).

U-Haul Cab and Chassis - Pirate 4x4
Mar 26, 2009 · All my searching on U-Haul stuff has resulted in talk of the bigger box trucks. I am looking at picking up a '93 GMC 3500 cab and chassis. It's got 175,000 miles, drivetrain is TBI 454, 4L80E, 14 bolt. Most of the it has been rebuilt within the last 15,000 miles.
