2016年2月4日 · I have the Novopen Echo and the Humapen Luxura. Both inject in half units. I don't really have a preference between the two. It's really a matter of which one your insurance covers (mine only covers Novolog which is why I switched). The Echo does have a basic memory function which can tell you if you recently used it and how many units you used.

2010年10月29日 · No, I don't think the bubble is an issue. Do a test shot into the air with your pen. Dial up 2 units and push the plunger. You will see that all 2 units leaves the pen immediately. It doesn't take ten seconds. The 10 second wait is so that injected insulin is absorbed into surrounding tissue before the needle is pulled out.

2010年10月29日 · It works for me. I prime the pen when I install a new cartridge, but after that I stand up, grasp a stomach fold, and inject with the pen pointed straight down. I keep the needle in for 10 seconds or so and tap on the plunger at the end of the pen in an attempt to get all of the insulin to inject--I don't know if this actually helps.

2010年12月6日 · The only way to get half units via a pen is to use the Demi with cartridges. The new Novopen 4 only does whole units. The accuracy of such a small dose is questionable, though. After pulling the needle out, there is often a drop of insulin at the end of the needle, so I probably dial up half a unit more than I actually need.

2012年10月30日 · I haven't heard of that problem with the pens but I had a lot of problems with my Lantus pens. In the mean time you could use an insulin syringe to draw up out of the pen cartridge and inject like that. That's what I did when my Lantus pens broke. I use the NovoPen Echo and I love it.
