Apr 1, 2015 · So i was gonna install this third age mod then i saw i needed to find the kingdoms.exe file and i have it and total war medival installed but i cant bloody find it ive tried to find good videos for a couple of days please help. Locate the Medieval2.exe file, duplicate it and rename kingdoms.exe Then test that.

Jumping into this because the question gets to a question I had, as a newbie to this Total War. Am I understanding correctly that the different options, when I click "new game" that shows Americas, Teutonic, etc...are the "kingdoms" you all mention? I mean, unlike Warhammer 2, the DLCs basically gave you a completely different game?

Mar 26, 2021 · I've finally been able to figure out how to use the unpacker for the base game. However, when I want to unpack the files for the Teutonic Campaign it only seems to unpack about 2 extra files in the data folder, instead of all the other files. How does one fix that issue? I've wanted to edit the buildings for Norway to make them actually recruit units.

Nov 24, 2015 · So I am having an issue with the kingdoms.exe file as well. So when I go into my computer and go to Medieval 2 Total War and open it and all that is in there is data, mods, and tools. I cannot find the medieval.exe to rename it. (I amd trying to play hyrule total war)

Go to your Medieval II directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Medieval II Total War Copy and paste "medieval2" and rename the clone "kingdoms". This is all you need, as technically it is kingdoms.exe, even if it has the exact same function. Mods will now install fine. By the way, the vast majority of mods have a quicklauncher.

I’ve looked everywhere and i can’t find any help, it’s not “bundled in my medieval 2 game and there are 4 more options under medieval 2 in steam” like a different post said It seems something went wrong with the installation of it.

Jan 16, 2024 · If you only patched medieval2 then you will be fine for the main game and the DLCs. Unless mods use the universal batch file of mine which uses medieval2 when running steam and kingdoms when running disk you may find yourself looking at teh same performance issue again unless you patch kingdoms.exe as well.
