2023年8月8日 · I recently purchased a wealth of Kobalt tools from a local pawn shop. The batteries have issues. When I plug in the 2.0 AH 40 volt battery pack it has no charge or status. You can try to Jump Start these batteris by connecting them to an external source. My external source is a CenTech 900 car booster/jump pack purchased at Harbor Freight.

2023年5月28日 · The 2.5 ah battery I have been using for the last few years is a replacement one I bought at Lowe's. Wanted a new 4.0 ah battery. Instead of buying just the battery, I bought a weed trimmer that includes the 4.0 ah battery for not much more money. Tried to put the new 4.0 ah battery in my older lawnmower and it will not run.

The irritating thing is I can't tell if it's the battery or the charger that has gone bad. There's nothing to indicate the charger is even operational or receiving power from the outlets.

The charger claims the battery is full (solid green light) but the battery itself only lights up three out of the four lights. It's a 40v 5.0 ah battery. So basically the battery only lasts from three lights to two lights, which is under 10 minutes.

2021年12月9日 · Kobalt 80v is basically online only now. Kobalt 40v tends to have seasonal stock and annual clearances but was not part of the deal and should be at less risk of being discontinued. Long run this is a good move, the ego stuff is better. For those of us in a dying system this is just one more time that kobalt has left an orphan platform.
