I have plans for a chip pan to catch the chips and a table extension at the out feed area to make "special" sawing setups easier.

2012年11月27日 · When I put the new belt on the saw , I put the PROPER length on and it relocated the motor position to where it should be ( the old belt was 2" too long). This shifted the saw arm weight and now I have the spring disconnected and the cylinder sitting on the bench. I have to hang a weight on the saw now to get the cutting force I want. WHO KNEW?

2012年3月13日 · Here the band saw has been set up for cutting a short piece of steel. Notice the 6 mm plate on the fixed jaw. This plate is not fixed in any way to the jaw. It simply allows the fixed jaw to be extended out almost to the blade. To set this cut up the piece was first clamped somewhere near the centre of the jaws just over the vice feed screw.

I've been thinking about doing something similar on my 4x6 (same colour too!) as the downfeed with the spring isn't linear - cuts fast at the start and slows waaaay down for the last 1/8", so much that I've gotten used to putting a weight on the end of the saw to finish the cut.

2005年7月24日 · I have 2 HF bandsaws that i run production on. The first thing i did was scrap the factory stand's. I made a stand fron angle iron and made it taller i hate bending over. The other i made 2 arms that come come out from my workbench and the saw sits on them. No legs underneath. I too tighten up the blades as tight as i can get them.

2017年2月2日 · I finally got around to getting a Starrett blade onto my new HF 4x6 band saw. I got the guides set up and the top wheel adjusted so the blade tracks fairly well. I've downloaded the 4x6 set up guide from Yahoo Groups, but haven't gotten a chance to walk through it yet.
