Gibson Sg vs Flying V - The Gear Page
2023年2月2日 · The V falls in between the LP and SG. The V bridge tones are like a brighter LP in nature, smoother than the SG. The neck pickup is the gem to me on a V as it is brighter and snappier than a LP and can sound pretty stratty with the right pickup. I know Firebird gets the credit, but I've always felt the V was sort of like Gibson's strat-LP hybrid.

2012年3月19日 · Depend on what kind of Flying V i.e. Korina, Mahogany, Swamp Ash etc. . I own an Gibson 1983 Heritage Flying V made of Korina and has original Tim Shaw pickups. When I want a Leslie West Les Paul Junior kind of tone, its the guitar I grab. If you mean by body style, I don't think it matters. My guitar is very light and my body is thankful.

2012年6月5日 · I recently picked up a Gibson flying V. Cool guitar, but I am not getting along with the ridiculously hot pickups. Gibson 496r and 500t. I play through a splawn quick rod with a decent amount of gain. My band plays heavy fast rock n roll with some bluesy solos. Looking for something to retain clarity and attack without sounding too thin. Thanks

2008年11月15日 · My Korina Vector 'V' is next up for a pup change and that puts me in the same position as AlexanderL. I was looking at Gibson Classic Plus, Seth Lovers and Vintage Vibe. The Seth Lovers were offered on Hamers for awhile but no longer. On the Duncan website they are recommended for 'brighter sounding guitars' and my 'V' is not bright sounding.

2017年5月7日 · It is 4% smaller than a regular V, not sure what that means or why Gibson did that, but it doesn't look weird or different. The guitar is my lightest guitar, I think 6.5 pounds. The front of the guitar is glossy, the back and neck are satin -- I don't mind that but I'd have rather had gloss all around.
