2011年10月10日 · I have made wings using 1/4" thick fan fold foam (FFF) board as two planks, a top and a bottom. I used square balsa sticks for the leading edge and a strip of balsa for the trailing edge. The trailing edge is normally less than 1/2" wide, but the balsa provides a very good material for hinges that are "cut" in later.

2010年5月29日 · Well the Dead Simple flying wing has become a hit. This is the original 24" Wing I designed. There have been a number of builds and the majority of them have loved it. If you want a simple to build fly on rails flying wing look no further. It is quite aerobatic and eager to please, so it is not considered a trainer.

2012年4月1日 · 1 ¼ x 10 Foam board 1ea 1 ¼ x 4 ¼ Foam board 2 ea 5/8” x 1 ¼ E-box material 2 ea Glue Ply mount together. Remove paper from one side of foam board. Glue ply mount to 10” foam centering. Let dry. Then glue 4 ½” pieces on both sides of mount. Cut two 5/8” pieces of box material, remove one side of paper from each and glue together.

2012年7月10日 · It was made from two sheets of dollar tree foam board and some colored packing tape from Tape Brothers on the net. Total cost was less than $10 for the air frame only because I used a fairly light but pricey carbon spar in the wing.

2019年8月5日 · Foam Board is somewhere between 4 and 5 mm thick. So you have to take that into account when making pieces that fold or intersect. Center of gravity or CG. You are changing the dimensions and shapes of the airplane you are using as your foundation. So the CG on your airplane is going to change too.

WalMart Foam Board 30" x 20" - Delta Wing Plans?
2005年6月2日 · I bought a sheet of Elmer's Foam Board that measures 30" x 20" x 3/16" (3/16" = ~5mm). I'd like to make a delta wing out of one single sheet. I have a variety of motors & batteries & will prolly use a mid-wing pusher mount for the motor (to help balance with a 1050 3 cell lipo).
