2017年3月10日 · Congrats on finding a nice Fisher anvil. The 225 was the advertised weight. However, most Fisher anvils were +/- a few lbs from their actual weight. The H65 indicates it was made during the Crossley era of production(1962 - 1979). It was cast in 1965. Crossley took over production of Fisher anvils using all of the material and labor from Fisher.

2012年10月8日 · The anvils Crossley made were made by the same employees who made them at Fisher. When the Fisher factory closed, a few employees went to Crossley to continue the anvil production. They used the same everything, including all of the equipment. Crossley Fisher anvils are exactly the same as original Fisher anvils.

2014年6月17日 · The lovely "F&N" in the casting of this Fisher anvil. Beautiful look to it. It does have the eagle logo on far side of the anvil in the pic. I do have a smaller 114# saw anvil that has the "FISHER" cast in the base of the anvil, and hoping maybe Josh can shed some light on the subject as to when the "F&N" was used?
