2005年7月15日 · The company I am with right now has a 2002 FL70 with the "business class" sleeper. The cab looks like a extended cab pickup. It's gotten better lately but I had the DOT guys in that truck with a tape messure more than once fighting with me about the sleeper not being legal. It is legal but all the mesurements are at the smallest limit.

Will fit years 1999-2016 (Ford used the same exact cab for all those years) Comes with the door panels, all hardware, bed frame, mattress, safety net and buckles. Was used for a short time by a very clean OCD person. Got out of the business. Paid $2600 for it new.

2014年8月6日 · They are using a loophole developed when the FMCSA started requiring the 30 minute break, the definition of off-duty time has been amended to include time spent resting in a parked CMV, so if you log off duty instead of sleeper technically sleeping in the back seat, or anywhere else for that matter is now legal.

2019年7月6日 · Also regulations further stipulate for 1 Ton and up hotshot trucks (Pickup etc) they must have a functioning DOT approved ELD wired into the vehicle and capable of a range of very particular tracking now.

2006年9月18日 · 1 - for safety, and hazmat loads there needs to be a speration between the sleeper and the box. I worked with a box manufacture and came up with a safety wall but dropped the idea because of hazmat loads I am willing to haul. 2 - like I said Vans in general can't meet the width requirement as the same with extended cabs and pickup trucks.

2020年4月23日 · My plan is to take a RAM 3500 Chassis Cab, place a sleeper on it and run a 40' trailer via gooseneck. Combined GVWR will be 26,000 LB (truck is at 13,000 LB and trailer at 13,000 LB). I am concerned that the chassis cab may be viewed differently than a truck with a bed in some states (or maybe Federal).

2012年7月13日 · There are plenty of ways to turn a quad cab pickup into a DOT legal sleeper, as well. It can be anything from refurbishing the back of a quad cab to adding a disconnected sleeper behind the cab, or even going all-out and doing this: Although if I were going to that extent, I probably would opt for a Class 7/8 truck instead.

2020年4月27日 · Good question. That is true you would need a DOT approved sleeper to do a true team operation so you'd be better off just buying a sleeper cab tractor if you want to run team with pops. If neither one of you is really qualified to drive a big truck I would just stick with a 1-ton pickup and show a hotel receipt.

2005年12月23日 · Then you also have the issue of not having a DOT approved sleeper and the problems this can cause. If working in a pickup is interesting to someone, I would think they could make more money pulling a gooseneck flatbed.
