2019年11月23日 · There can be some voltage drop in the wiring from the transformer to the doorbell. Going to 24 volts would ensure the doorbell is getting at least 16. The power (VA) rating will often be higher on a 24V transformer - which is fine, as I said before the VA rating is a minimum. Not sure if that will solve the wifi problem though.

2021年9月3日 · I have the same transformer, it gives 14.5v unloaded on a basic digi multimeter, on an old ballistic AVO meter it gives 8.1V, on the basic digi meter if I apply a load to the transformer it reads 8.1V. My more expensive Fluke Digi Multimeter gives the true 8.1V too.

If you have existing wiring at the door, then either look for the transformer, and check the rating - or check it the voltage with a meter. If you do not have existing wiring, then you can look for a compatible plug-in transformer.
