Negatives: I was very worried that I would dry out really quick with this cleanser, because it seems that every time I start an acne-specific cleanser (i.e. not an ultra-gentle, hydrating cleanser), my face ends up tight, dry and flakey.

You could look for a natural cleanser to use with the OCM if you're trying to go all natural. However, skincare can be a combination of natural and non natural products.

I landed on a routine of 1) CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser -> 2) CeraVe Alcohol Free Hydrating Face Toner W/ Hyaluronic Acid/Niacinamide/Ceramides -> 3) , Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion, and 4) CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion. The strange thing was, I had used it for maybe 5 months or so and had no issues, so naturally I thought that my skin got accustomed to it. I then wake up one morning with super red, itchy and dry skin that lasted for weeks even though I stopped using the cleanser from that day onwards. I now use the Inkey List SA cleanser and it's been awesome!

2023年1月20日 · The main difference is that the acne control cleanser has 2% SA and the SA renewing cleanser has .5% so it’s gentler. Since you said your skin is usually dry I would say go with the .5%, go with the 2% if you’re trying to address acne.

I haven’t tried CeraVe SA, but just wanted to drop in and say that La Roche Posay Toleraine Hydrating Cleanser works just as well as CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. I used CeraVe for years and only made the switch to LPR after my new derm recommended it to me. As far as I’m concerned, they’re interchangeable!
