2022年1月24日 · From the readings in this forum, auto light on squares seems to be hit or miss. On my B5600 with module 3461, it's reliable, maybe 95%. But on my new M5610U, it worked for a day then stopped working. It still lights up with a manual press and the watch is not in PS mode or MB6 syncing at the moment.

I've heard it actually conserves less energy making the watch last for at least 10 years as oppose to the electric light on the Illuminator watches, which is probably why CASIO opted for an LCD light for the A700. It also makes you really focus on the time when it is dark.

2022年9月23日 · On some Casios the light will stop working if the battery is low. The battery might have to be re-installed a few times before the light "kicks in" and starts working. When a new battery is installed the light won't work the first few times but after repeated use it will "charge" itself back to normal brightness.
