The premise of the arc is about Konso Resai a type of Konso for souls with high reiatsu due because the SS can't absorb the reishi so they use this practice to send their dead captains off but it's revealed that the Konso Resai just put the dead captains to Hell. Hell Hollows and Szayel come in the Living World lore dumping n all.

The thing kind of forgotten is the Hell one shot was a special gift from Kubo for the 20th anniversary of Bleach. But I will leave you with this extra nugget that we learned from Kubo.....
