2009年7月1日 · Catfish! To me it's one of the best tasting fish there is. Flathead Catfish is the cat's meow to me. Clean, fresh taste. Not fishy at all. Has a firm texture with a nice white meat. Channel Cat> get the yellow back fat trim off, bleed the cat out by cutting it's tail off and your left with some nice tasting fillets fit for a KING!!

2006年5月25日 · We just ate some of that catfish the other day, and it was, without question, the absolute *BEST* tasting fish I've ever had - the meat was white as snow, there was absoutely no fishy smell to it before cooking and no strong taste to it after cooking. Even my kids ate it, and they've always turned up their noses at "wild" fish of any sort.

2005年9月24日 · Was fishing for blues yesterday, caught 4 nice sized ones. While eating lunch I threw out a bluegill head and caught a 12" flat. Kept it and cleaned it. Cooked it tonight and, WOW, might give up blues and go for flats. Best tasting fish I had. Ate blues and the flat, definite difference in the taste. Anyone else feel the same way?

2022年6月20日 · Flats likely best tasting of the 3 for me, but I fish for 99% blues. I only keep a few 2-3lber’s…anything over 7 or so lbs, I always throw back. I’ve tried em up to 12-14lbs and just don’t care for the taste. I cut out the darker meat and soak for several hours or overnight in salt water changing it out a few times.
