2014年4月21日 · Here is a derotated image he captured using an 8" SCT and the ASI120MC. I have a Celestron Nexstar 8SE and an Orion 2x Shorty Barlow. I have a 1.25" visual back and diagonal. I'm going to try to plug the Barlow directly into the visual back without the diagonal. Your diagonal will be visual-only, as you will never need it when imaging.

2014年6月26日 · The ASI120MC uses a small Type 1/3 chip which probably gives a pretty small field of view with your SC8 even at f/6.3. I's suggest trying a bright star first to check your focus, maybe one of the nearby stars in the Keystone. Another quickie test is to look at a bright multiple star system like Mizar to get a feel for your field of view.
