2005年3月3日 · Most of the time the mixing is usually PSF added in a ATF system as oppose to the other way. From what I have experience it will produce a very black fluid in the reservoir. Other than that I haven't seen huge complications. Many Imports are ATF. Chrysler started using ATF+4 in power steering around 04 I think.

I'm currently running Havoline ATF+4 in both the power steering & transmission with no problems. I have some Super Tech ATF+4 in my stash as well, it's licensed so no worries. I used the turkey baster method on my power steering.

2016年7月18日 · Have a power steering unit that specifies dextron 3. For a few bucks more you can get Power Steering fluid that seems to be dextron 3. Like Castrol has both dextron 3 and ps fluid. Is there really a difference or is the ps fluid just a markup dextron 3? Cheers.

2002年10月24日 · "Dexron type automatic transmission fluid" in the power steering system. Since Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF is a Dexron III fluid, it's OK to use in Toyota PS systems. Honda's, on the other hand may require a propietary PS fluid available only from Honda dealers. In my old 1965 Malibu, my Chevy owners manual also said to use Dexron fluid in the PS system.

2013年5月5日 · CHF11s is hydraulic fluid and typically when this fluid is spec'd the seals used in the power steering system are only compatible with hydraulic fluid whereas ATF could cause them to swell and weaken. CHF11s has superior cold temp performance vs ATF. My understanding years ago was that you could convert ATF to CHF11s but not CHF11s to ATF.

2007年12月5日 · I switched the wagon over to Redline Power Steering Fluid (meets the GM spec) and haven't had a problem since. Others have said good things about the Royal Purple power steering fluid in GM cars. Ocassionally you hear of someone using ATF in GM cars and they say it works but it seems most have not tried it.
