2016年3月14日 · Just at the topic says, i'm wondering if Tamiya makes an off the shelf colour for Insignia Blue, FS equivalent of 35050. I'm in the process of painting the insignia on my F4U-2. Laying down the Montex masks now. Mr. Color makes Thunderbird Blue, and it works great but this time round i'm working with Tamiya acrylics to get comfortable with them.

2019年2月3日 · Thanks Chrish. It seems this show is like a really long 70's style movie in which one question when the movie will really get going. Anyways. Still working away and the intakes are starting to get a nice seamless quality to them. I have been using the Tamiya putty with a brush and some lacquer thinner. This seems to give a nice even blend.

I picked up my copy shortly after it came out and made a right mess of it. I tried to polish the aluminum body panels and only made it worse. I tried to cover the seats in leather and made them worse.

2019年12月17日 · Here's my rendition of Tamiya's recent iteration of the iconic P-38 Lightning. I dressed mine up to represent "Miss Virginia" which was involved in Operation Vengeance; the aerial assassination of Admiral Yamamoto who was the mastermind of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The kit fell together really well with minimal filler used for seam lines.
Extra Dark Sea Grey and Dark Slate Grey.... any ideas?
2012年10月3日 · Tamiya has them pretty much straight out of the bottle actually. They are Tamiya XF- 77 IJN Grey for the Extra Dark Sea Grey, and XF-73 J.G.S.D.F Dark Green for the Dark Slate Grey. I have it painted on a Hellcat Mk.1, I will try and snag some pictures tomorrow or Friday, and post them if you'd like to see how they look when sprayed?
