2011年8月25日 · I am 95 percent done insulating my 30 by 48 pole barn. 11ft to the bottom of the trusses and at the peak it is about 16ft. The Roof and sides are insulated with mostly R-18 rigid foam type insulation and the entire thing is wrapped in double bubble radiant barrier. Comfort in the building is considerably improved.

Running a 85k btu propane heater warmed it to about 40 degrees but no warmer. The humidity inside the barn is near 100 percent.

2015年5月9日 · When I built my pole barn I used 1" under the floor and 1.5" between the purlins for the walls. I then cover the walls with 1" and covered that with OSB painted white. I surfaced mounted my electrical boxes at every post (8' on center). The ceiling had 9" of fiberglass and 1" of Styrofoam. My barn was 30' X 32' with a 12' ceiling.

It needs a new roof and i'm thinking next spring is the time. 2005年3月3日 · Its a 36x40 pole barn with 6x6 treat timber set 8' on center around the inside of the shop. On the outside is 2x4's which then have the metal sheathing attached. At the top of the 6x6's on both sides all around are 2x12's which supports the truss ceiling.

2015年8月1日 · I am using 30 ga for the main, hence the plywood rings. I had initially thought of running the pipe above the ceiling, but that would have been a pain. The plywood ring helps me keep things somewhat level. I live in a rural area, so getting help is sporadic. I tried several methods to stand the cyclone up without success.

Has any one used this, and if so did you use 7/16",1/2"or 5/8", was there any sagging after time, and did you expose the smooth sid or the rough side? I plan on painting it. It seems lik it would be more durable on my 8' ceilings than sheet rock.
